- Norwegian Cruise Line To Feature Rock Boat XIII Music Festival
- Appropriately, on Friday the 13th Norwegian Cruise Line and host Sister Hazel, in partnership with Sixthman, announced the 13th sailing of The Rock Boat, the longest running music festival at sea. The Rock Boat XIII will set sail with over 2,000 lucky guests aboard Norwegian Pearl from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas on February 24th, 2013.
With non-stop music, and two days on Norwegian’s private island, this musical marathon will showcase both fan favorites and emerging talent. Performances across multiple stages around the ship, intimate activities with artists, and collaborations between musicians will make this traveling circus an experience not to be missed. Rock Boat host Sister Hazel will be joined by Alternate Routes, Bronze Radio Return, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers, Good Old War, Will Hoge, NEEDTOBREATHE, Ponderosa, Ben Rector, Red Wanting Blue, Rusted Root, Saints of Victory, DJ Soulman and Yacht Rock Revue, with many more artists to be announced.
“We had no idea when we began in 2001 that The Rock Boat would become the family of guests and artists that it has become. We are fortunate to be able to host some of the most promising new artists each year, and so excited to have NEEDTOBREATHE back for an encore performance” said Sixthman CEO Andy Levine.
Norwegian Pearl is destined to be the new home of The Rock Boat XIII. With 15 decks of fun, guests will have access to thirteen bars and lounges, nineteen dining experiences, two pools, four hot tubs, and spa facilities, to help forget about the world left behind. Onboard concerts aren’t the only things that will rock this Norwegian Cruise Line voyage. Guests looking for more action may test their skill on the outdoor climbing wall, bowl a few frames at the onboard lanes, or challenge lady luck at The Pearl Club Casino.
